Plagiarism?
editThis article is almost exactly the same, word for word, as an article on About.com (http://experts.about.com/e/c/cl/Clara_Petacci.htm). Which one came from which? --24.205.251.41 23:13, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- This article appears to be a plagiarized work virtually verbatim, as the unknown user here pointed out last August. How he/she determined the connection to the original work on About.com remains a mystery as they were unsure of which was published first. T.E. Goodwin 09:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- The same article at About.com now links to the Wikipedia article. About.com states it has reproduced the Wikipedia article about Clara Petacci under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License. Colenso 13:29, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
User:Colenso is 100% correct. This does not indicate plagiarism ( . . . not on the Wikipedia side anyway). Please do a little test. Edit any article. Do something relatively meaningless that only you might notice (please change something relatively harmless and please change it back later). Then do a search for the same subject in "about.com" (or any one many similar sites). You should see your change reflected almost immediately. Some of these sites take more time than others. But they all pull content FROM the Wikipedia articles and not the other way around. From my perspective, I find it annoying that I often circle back on my own article when searching the Internet. But that is why we reference BOOKS. Best wishes to all. Mkpumphrey 00:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Mistress' diary: Mussolini was a fierce anti-Semite
editThis Israeli site: [JP] tells that Mussolini was a fierce anti-Semite.Agre22 (talk) 16:03, 17 November 2009 (UTC)agre22
- The diary of a mistress is hardly incontrovertible historical evidence. Besides the fact that lovers present themselves in one-sided ways, and often remember things that way, Petacci was Jewish (although this article doesn't say so); she may have been trying to portray herself as a modern-day Judith.Historian932 (talk) 14:58, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- Petacci was not Jewish. You must be thinking of Margherita Sarfatti. (Westerhaley (talk) 10:43, 3 May 2021 (UTC))
Why was she executed?
editThe article stat that Clara Petacci was executed rather than murdered, but it does not state on what charges she was executed. For which crime was she executed? --Aciram (talk) 16:33, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
agreed, it should be named as murder — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.253.103.129 (talk) 14:08, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- The official version states that she was killed because she stood between Mussolini and the executors of the sentence. Alex2006 (talk) 15:12, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- Several people later admitted the official version was a fabrication. (Westerhaley (talk) 10:43, 3 May 2021 (UTC))
- Unfortunately we will never know the truth. Alex2006 (talk) 18:57, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Several people later admitted the official version was a fabrication. (Westerhaley (talk) 10:43, 3 May 2021 (UTC))
Final resting place
editIt was reported in 2016 that her tomb was crumbling, which concerned city officials as they were unable to take action because they could not locate any family members. I have been unable to find any information on the tomb's current condition or any relocation of the remains. Does anyone have any leads or information to contribute on this question? 96.8.169.242 (talk) 23:11, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
