Weasel
editI added that comment because the language comes across as 'selling' her. I don't know enough about her to change it though. I've certainly never heard her name in connection with the other singers she's compared to though.
Birthdate?
editAnyone know when she was born?
Tim Ludbrook's Representation of Torry is a Fact, not an Advertisement
editI'm sorry the Wiki-Police removed my reference to Tim Ludbrook's representation of Clare Torry. This was not intended to be advertising, as was harrumphed by the remover. Rather, I had searched for additional reliable & factual sources that Torry was the singer on "Great Gig in the Sky" but was stunned to find no other than the ONE reference that currently remains EXCEPT the mention by Ludbrook himself.
If you can find a better way of including this information as a SOURCE without annoying the Wiki-Police then please do so. Until then:
Torry was represented by barrister Tim Ludbrook.[1]

Nobbled?
editHas this article been nobbled by its subject or someone very close to its subject? The wording is such that it seems like this, especially the bit about the strict school not allowing her to flourish as a singer. That's the sort of thing I'd write about my excperiences, but probably not what anyone else would write about me! Also the source for the out of court settlement (incorrectly referred to as a settlement IN the High Court) is a one-off digital media article. That in turn makes reference to a Daily Telegraph piece, but that isn't cited, so I think we ought to be careful here. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 10:01, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Youtube Article Of Interest
editLots of good stuff here, from the woman herself, Clare Torry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1LTSLbhyoY —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.183.80.216 (talk) 23:39, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
The YouTube video has been removed because of multiple third-party copyright infringements by the video and/or uploader.
Can you find another source, or this video on YouTube or another website?

After 35 years of listening to beauty set to music, this reader would like to know more. Where is Clare Torry from; how did she develop that magnificent style? What were, and are, her muses? How did she feel when she made this recording? What is she up to these days? Will she interview? Clare Torry is the female voice of Pink Floyd, and while not heard as often her statements are deafening. |

Did she not play parson Nathaniel's daughter in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds?
editDid she not sing on the original on Jeff Wayne’s War of the worlds, as Beth, parson Nathaniel’s daughter, singing The Spirit Of Man? 5.69.97.105 (talk) 19:54, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
