expand tag
editI'm going to remove the expand tag. This article is rather large so an expand request without specifics seems out of place. I suspect that the request is to add more details for the schools. That should be an ongoing process. Don't know if we even need a section request since information is being added on a regular basis in all sections of the aticle. Steve Schorr Elementary Article
editdid the Steve schorr elementary article merged with the Clark County School District article because I made the article yesterday and the next day it redirected to CCSD (Clark County School District).
- Not really. There was nothing to merge when the redirect was made. There was nothing in the article that was encyclopedic or notable. Sorry to be so blunt, but elementary schools are generally not notable. A elementary school only open for a year is very unlikely to be notable enough for an encyclopedic article. The best you can do is to add to the district article the information that is encyclopedic. I noticed that there was no entry for this school. I believe that I added all of the newly opened schools for last year so I'm surprised that one was not in the list. If it is a valid school feel free to add it to the district article. Northwest Career and tech Academy.
editI am a student at that school and the school's mascot is the Hawks. I shall suggest the edit for another to do.--70.173.125.27 02:18, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Reorganization, Edits, and Additions
editThis article could use some good, accurate history additions. It really needs specific information on the growth & building boom as well as the ongoing battle over district consolidation. (Including references to various state bills -- and the establishment of individual sub-districts in 2001.) It would be helpful to add an "opened in" column to the list of schools since the repeated opening of multiple schools in a single year is unique to the district.
I'm also working on some information about a class action desegregation lawsuit, which resulted in the busing of west side students from K-5 and 7-8th grades as well as 6th grade centers in the 1970's & 1980's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CarpElgin (talk • contribs) 16:48, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Adding items is good. Please reference your sources. This is the best, and usually the easiest using the citation templates like {{cite news}}. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:50, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
CCSD Template
editI think it would be wise to create a CCSD template that we can add to the bottom of all CCSD related articles. What do you guys think? If you guys like the idea, I will start one. Michaelcox (talk) 06:34, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
