Monaco - Sacked or End of Contract?
editThe 2014–15 Ligue 1 page says he left at the end of his 2 year contract which aligns with the reports of his appointment in 2012 on a 2 year deal (presumably with a 1 year option). And he managed the club for the entirety of that 2 year contract. That the club did not use the option or sign a new contract does not mean he was sacked despite newspaper reports using the term. If a player comes to the end of his contract and the club doesn't renew it isn't a "sacking" so the same is true of a manager. This page should therefore replace "sacked" with "contract was not extended or renewed". 94.193.152.82 (talk) 22:59, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
Personal Life
editI wonder, is there any good reason why there is no section on his personal life? Aberdeen01 (talk) 11:36, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

3.11.2 Second Season
editThis section contains the following sentence:"After a first leg 2–1 away loss to Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, senior players had been summoned to meet the Leicester Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and the outcome of the meeting had sealed Ranieri's fate.[93]" The reference bears no relation to the contents of the sentence, and I have been unable to find any other reference to a meeting between the Board and the players. Therefore, I believe the sentence should be deleted.Nigelrg (talk) 11:02, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- You didn't read it properly. The source states "BBC Sport understands some players were summoned to meet the chairman after the 2-1 loss to Sevilla and Ranieri's fate was sealed by the negative reaction." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39093177 --Jules (Mrjulesd) 11:19, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
Sorry, you're quite right. I ignored what I thought was a caption to the photo.Nigelrg (talk) 00:11, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

A quick search of the page will reveal Claudio's name wrongly being spelt 'Ranierei'. Might it be possible to correct this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:5054:FE00:C9DE:17C7:7352:324C (talk • contribs)
