At the link from the Roman author Ammianus Marcellinus, the context clearly indicates an earlier use of clausulae, as indications for oral recital of text. Please could someone supply explanation/disambiguation? As part of a WikiEdu project, I have reformed the entire structure of the article by creating a body and editing the lead section.
