Requested edits around stepping down as dean of Dell Med
editPart of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. [see below] |
- Specific text to be added or removed: Replace the last sentence in the first graf with the following:"Johnston announced he was stepping down as dean in July, 2021, and officially stepped down from his role on August 31st of the same year. George Macones, M.D., is serving as interim dean until the position can be filled permanently.
- Reason for the change: Johnston stepped down on 9/1 and Macones took over the role until the position can be filled permanently
- References supporting change: https://dellmed.utexas.edu/blog/macones-harris-appointed-to-interim-leadership-roles; https://news.utexas.edu/2021/07/15/interim-leadership-named-at-dell-medical-school/
- Partly done: I made your changes but I made slight alterations to them. For example, I didn't include discussion about Macones. The only place I would see mentioning Macones in this article as fitting would be in an infobox, if Macones is named the successor to Johnston's office of dean.
