Downtown and Historic Village
editI wanted to share my plan to add a few sentences on the downtown area and Historic Village to the "places" section of this article, specifically to include information that's featured on the town's official website. I will be doing this over the next few days. Feel free to share any thoughts or concerns! Alyssa (talk) 21:28, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
Unreference statement
editI added the template in response to vandalism in the notable residents section as well as to allow for citations/references to be found to back up the claims that everyone from multiple professional bowlers to a former Canadian parliamentarian live in Clermont. Rudolph Monos
editHi, User:Rudymonos85, and welcome to Wikipedia. You've added (twice), and I have removed (twice), this text: "Rudolph Monos Purple Heart Recipient for Valor in the Iraqi War 2007 Entrepreneur business man and Multi Millionaire and business owner SheaMakery.com and Bakers candle.com is now a current resident to Clermont FL,." You may be wondering why, and just what qualified someone as "Notable people." In general, it's people with their own Wikipedia page backed up with citations of reliable sources. Wikipedia is indeed an encyclopedia anyone can edit, but a lot of customs have arisen over the years as editors have striven to make Wikipedia useful as well as flexible. Among those customs is the notion that any assertion is subject to deletion if it is not supported by a citation of a reliable source (generally, a newspaper, magazine, book, journal, or the online facsimile thereof). As well, Wikieditors with a close connection to/interest in a subject are advised to tread lightly. PRRfan (talk) 01:58, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
