Successful good article nomination

edit

I am glad to report that this article nomination for good article status has been promoted. This is how the article, as of June 1, 2008, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Pass - it needs more work to make it more engaging for FA.
2. Factually accurate?: Pass, it has sufficient references.
3. Broad in coverage?: Pass, may need wider coverage.
4. Neutral point of view?: Pass, may need more opinions to balance the main views.
5. Article stability? Pass
6. Images?: Pass, copyright fine.

If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to Good article reassessment. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status. Wikidās- 22:11, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where do you see room for improvement POV wise? Where is wider coverage needed? Thegreatdr (talk) 17:09, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see a room for improvement in extending and representing a variety of POVs in the section Climate change with latest of debates represented. There can be a history section depicting the change of attitudes and how the views evolved in the last 30 years on this particular subject. I would also welcome a section where a seasonal differences are compared between different cultures, such as the fact of different number of seasons of the year in different areas of the globe, with possibly dedicated sections or quote boxes featuring extreme climatic zones, specifics of climatic conditions in the tropical areas, maybe mainly to provide an engaging material that is essential for FA, I think a theme that leads thought the article as 'awareness' could give the edge to the article at GA stage. In this context WP:YESPOV can be the approach for creating an engaging and contrasting views forming a dynamic picture. Wikidās- 22:59, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
