Temperature conversion

edit

How can "−42.2 °C (−44.0 °F)" (as listed in the climate stats in the article) be correct? There has to be a mistake with the conversion. 98.245.150.162 (talk) 18:09, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

P.S. The Centigrade number should be (very roughly, since the size of a degree in each system is also different) 30 points higher than the Farenheit number, so the numbers referenced in the post above really can not be correct. 98.245.150.162 (talk) 18:41, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Each C is 1.8 F, so the conversion is correct. To say they have to be about 30 degrees different is wrong. For example, 40C is 104F. Jim Michael (talk) 01:41, 26 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speed of Wind

edit

The wiki says "The average wind speed is not high. In the city it is near 100 metres per second; in open places and airports it may top 100 metres per second."

This comes to 225 miles per hour (or 360 km per hour). This cannot be right. The correct average speed of wind must be specified here. It is better to remove this section until the correct information is put.
