Clinton family → Clinton–Rodham family – Article contains more than just Bill Clinton's family; it also includes wife Hillary (Rodham)'s relatives Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:59, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). — Amakuru (talk) 22:05, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- Comment - I imagine this will be controversial, particularly given the history of the Hillary Rodham / Hillary Clinton debate. Listing for full RM. — Amakuru (talk) 22:05, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose - The family is notable only because of governor and president Clinton. The maiden name of his wife who rode that notability into the Senate but couldn't leverage it to beat Obama or even Trump is secondary, at best. Besides, where is the evidence that reliable sources refer to this family as the Clinton-Rodhams rather than the Clintons? Doesn't exist. --В²C ☎ 22:44, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- Your opinions on whether Hillary Clinton "rode the notability" of her husband are not relevant to this discussion, and she is without doubt one of the most famous people in the world, and notable in her own right, even if she did fail to beat Obama and "even Trump". Your last point is the one that matters here - reliable sources, and yes, they don't tend to talk of a Rodham family. Thanks — Amakuru (talk) 09:38, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- I agree with Amakuru here, but have no opinion on the proposed move itself. HandsomeFella (talk) 16:01, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per common usage. and there is no "Clinton–Rodham" family. Speedy close. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:12, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
Danney Williams-Clinton
editShould the allegations of Danney Williams-Clinton, claiming that he is the biological son of Bill Clinton be mentioned in this article? Nurseline247 (talk) 18:08, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Nurseline247 (talk) 18:09, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
