Article name

edit

As this article appears to be about the company and not specifically about the boats; shouldn't this article be renamed to Clipper Vacations? Or am I missing something here? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:43, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

After looking closer; this article is more about Clipper Navigation, with a broad description of Clipper Vacations, which they own. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:14, 6 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

As of today the company website lists only the Victoria Clipper V (the former Halunder Jet) and the San Juan Clipper (formerly the Victoria Clipper III, although I haven't found any press to verify this). I can verify via marine tracking websites that the Victoria Clipper and Victoria Clipper IV are still in service, despite not being listed on the website. @Ibadibam: Looks like the plan is to sell the Victoria Clipper and Victoria Clipper IV. It comes after the proposed Victoria-Vancouver service was canceled. Here are a few news articles to that effect:
Hope that's helpful. --RickyCourtney (talk) 20:47, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I also received a statement from the company that said that they're still keep the VC and VC IV in service, pending sale, in case they need them, but they don't schedule them. Ibadibam (talk) 21:06, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

The section on car ferry service is out of date. The Washington State Ferries Anacortes to Sidney ferry run was suspended during covid and probably won't run for many years due to crew shortages and the need to replace the aging fleet. https://mynorthwest.com/3850391/anacortes-sidney-ferry-route-cancellation-change-lives/ https://www.cheknews.ca/sidney-anacortes-ferry-may-return-earlier-than-2030-mayor-1173131/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.120.45 (talk) 20:38, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
