Hi, I was hoping to add four photos to the article on Clive Wilkins I put them up, I suspect when I shouldn't have, apologies if I overstepped the mark by so doing so. I inadvertently created some kind of moderator conflict. I wrote to the moderator in question explaining
- Clive Wilkins article
Hi Broccoli and Coffee, Not sure if this is the right or best way to contact you. Forgive me if I am writing in the wrong space!! I am no specialist with Wikipedia - as you will have already realised:-) The recent deletion of photos on the Clive Wilkins entry by you was, I thought, due to a query over their acceptability in Wikimedia Commons. Once that was sorted I assumed they could go back onto the entry. However you are not happy with them appearing it seems. Can you help me to understand why this is? The world of wiki can seem confusing at times, especially to a bear of very little brain such as myself. Please get back to me when you can and let me know the thinking behind this. Also let me know if i have made contact with you using the correct channels, and if not a nudge in the right direction would be most welcome :-). Sincere best wishes.
Broccoli and Coffee has got back to me and explained I should be using this space to request the reinstatement and necessary edit of the four images into the article and not doing it myself. My mistake for which I apologise unreservedly.
So, is it possible and, might I request that the examples of four paintings by Clive Wilkins be reinserted back into the article by a Wikipedia moderator please. I feel the images of the artist's work add to the article and illuminate the paintings in a way no words could.
Please do get back to me and explain any continuing problem, if there is one, concerning this issue. There may an impediment here that I am unaware of. My navigation of Wikipedia may not seem particularly efficient and I apologise for this again, but I am getting better.
If the images can be reinserted, I would be pleased if they could go below the section 'Painting' using a new title 'Gallery". A previous moderator made, what I thought to be a good job of it by using the following code.
With fingers crossed and in anticipation. Best wishes Jean Scott Thomson (talk) 19:01, 20 November 2018 (UTC) Jean Scott Thomson Jean Scott Thomson (talk) 19:01, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

edit- @Jean Scott Thomson: I can add these for you, but it looks like out of the two reasons for removal one of them may be missing, as shown below:
1st time the files were added 2nd time the files were added Reason 1— Reason 2— COI CONFLICT Result—✗ Files removed Result—✗ Files removed
- You've given the reason for why the photos were removed the second time, which is according to Broccoli and Coffee, you failed to make a COI edit request. But its not entirely clear why the pics were removed the first time.[a]
- I don't want to place something in the article without the full story, so if you could either deliver a brief recap of why they were removed the first time or a link where the discussion was held regarding reason #1.
- When you're ready to proceed, kindly switch the
{{request edit}}
template's answer parameter to read from|ans=yes
to|ans=no

editEdit request approved @Jean Scott Thomson: Thank you for supplying the explanation on my talk page.
- The pictures have been placed back into the article.
- In addition to this, other changes have been made to the article. Those changes are listed below.
- All references which linked to Youtube videos have been removed. These are not appropriate references to use unless the item they are referencing is a media file, in which case the
{{cite AV media}}
template ought to be used.[a] - The section on The Captured Thought has been reduced, per WP:COATRACK; and the listing of the various lectures and appearances of this collective has been reduced, per WP:BALASP. Many of the sources for these appearances were self published — when in order to balance the article's WP:NPOV, it would have been better if these appearances were covered in reliable secondary sources unconnected to the subject.
- The Teaching section has been omitted, as it was completely un-referenced (the only references being supplied were to Youtube videos).
- The Exhibitions and Conferences section has been merged with the Paintings section, with the list of conference appearances reduced, per WP:NOTADIARY, WP:BALASP.

Notes
- ^ When cite AV media is used, it is usually when some aspect of that media is being discussed, such as an actress appearing in a certain scene and that scene's significance to the actress' delivery of the role. AV media should not be cited as evidence of someone giving a speech or appearance unless some aspect of that appearance or speech is significant to what is being discussed in the article at that moment in the text, and often times with an accompanying secondary source (e.g., "Mother Theresa was criticised in later years for the associations she kept, such as the one demonstrated through her visit with Michelle Duvalier, not only because Ms. Duvalier was the wife of a dictator, but because of the praise she gave to the regime, saying she had "never seen the poor people being so familiar with their head of state"[1][2]).
