The result of the move request was: moved. Recall that the MOS says, "The letters in an acronym are generally not separated by periods (full stops) or blank spaces." No compelling reason for an exception to the general practice has been given, and consensus supports the move. Xoloz (talk) 18:02, 7 June 2014 (UTC) Xoloz (talk) 18:02, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
Club Brugge K.V. → Club Brugge KV — Most sources refer to Club Brugge KV, not Club Brugge K.V.. (see their Official website and UEFA page). 18:18, 25 May 2014 (UTC).
- Support move. Also, I think that this is how the Manual of Style recommends to write abbreviations. Coreyemotela (talk) 20:17, 25 May 2014 (UTC).
- Oppose - as unnecessary. There is no clear consensus on this and it is my understanding that either is acceptable. Some people say that as an abbreviation it should have the ".", others not. Fenix down (talk) 09:26, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - unnecessary and inconsistent. Have a look also at Talk:Manchester_United_F.C./Archive_12#Requested_move. --Pelotastalk|contribs 18:44, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how relevant that discussion is to this one. That one focused on removing the club suffix altogether, not the punctuation in it. --BDD (talk) 18:05, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support I agree that the punctuation is unnecessary and that either is acceptable, so why include it? WP:CONCISE supports this argument, though I admit it's a fairly trivial matter either way. --BDD (talk) 18:04, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. --BDD (talk) 18:05, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support - If either way is acceptable, I support the removal of the dots per my arguments at WT:FOOTY. – PeeJay 19:03, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom and COMMONNAME. GiantSnowman 19:51, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Happel's tenure
editHappel left Brugge at the end of November 1978, after he had filed his notice for the end of the season 1978-79. The club had started the season kind of dismally, hovering around place 10 in the league. Oalexander (talk) 06:13, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
