I propose that we join Club set, Stationary set, Club filter, as well as non-existing Ideal of non-stationary sets into a single article called Club filter, as these are all very related concepts and it make sense to define them all in the same place. melikamp (talk) 23:33, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

It might be reasonable to merge "club filter" into "club set". However, since "club set" is the basic notion in terms of which "club filter" and "stationary set" are defined, "club set" should be the surviving article. JRSpriggs (talk) 10:11, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Provided Club set, Stationary set, Club filter are all rolled into Club filter, it seems prudent to keep the non-stationary ideal (or other related and important topics) separate. The reason I say this is because the properties of the non-stationary ideal are more flexible (ie can be changed in some circumstances), where as the notions of stationary, club, etc, serve a more basic and rigid purpose. --Differentiablef (talk) 05:03, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Information about club filters is already in club set. Please consider this merger proposal terminated.
If anyone wants to change this article to a redirect to club set, please feel free to do so. JRSpriggs (talk) 14:51, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Terminated? I don't understand. Are you suggesting to just remove the merge tags? Ego White Tray (talk) 00:54, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I removed the templates on Club set and Stationary set. There does not appear to have ever been a template on this article.
We are not obliged to merge the articles just because someone put a template on some of them and started this section of talk. I am declining to do the merger. JRSpriggs (talk) 04:20, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
