(Phonemic terms?)
edit"Cluck" should not redirect to "chicken." It should describe the sound in phonemic terms instead. 195.170.118.11 (talk) 17:03, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- "Phonemic terms???" Giving the human phonemes that approximate the chicken noise? That are emitted by a human making a "cluck" sound? Get outta here! WP:NOT a dict.

Conversion to Dab
editI've created a not yet satisfactory Dab, but i think the best that can be done w/o enhancing the corresponding articles. One important enhancement is citation at Avian incubation of "Cluck", Dictionary of American Regional English, Volume 2, By Frederic G. Cassidy to note the colloquial use of "cluck" as a noun meaning an unproductive laying hen. (And the efforts of egg producers to breed out hatching-oriented behavior.) Note this is the presumed source of the better known expression "dumb cluck", to denigrate dull-seeming humans.
