Note that the information here is incorrect - Kain was NOT the first allied ace (though perhaps the first RAF ace). The first allied ace was Stanisław Skalski, of the Polish air force, who made six Kills in the September 1939 campaign, well before Kain.

Thank you for the update. Well spotted! Wallie 19:21, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mölders and Kain

edit

Is there documentary evidence that Mölders actually attacked Kain over France? FWiW, just askin' Bzuk (talk) 23:39, 11 March 2009 (UTC).Reply

Yes No 18 Wallie (talk) 15:47, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
"Possibly" does not appear to be "yes." Until you attribute the source, it can't be more than supposition. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 02:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC).Reply

Allegiance

edit

Adolph Malan is listed as being South African/British Commonwealth allegiance. His situation is exactly the same as Cobber Kain. Wallie (talk) 21:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I hope there's not going to be further wrangling over this. As a New Zealander I find it kind of amusing to have people from other countries decidng this man's allegience - the situation vis-a-vis New Zealand and the Commonwealth in 1940 was a little different to that of 2009; (see comments in Battle of Britain discussion) :) Minorhistorian (talk) 22:14, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
