I work for a large chemical company as "Methods Editor": I cooperate within a team to manage and facilitate the company's analytical and test methods process. I provide coaching, method documentation skills, and statistical expertise to insure that methods will produce valid results for the intended application. Being a Methods Editor, I am involved in the evaluation of variance data according to ISO Standard 5725. This standard refers to Cochran's C test for verifying if three or more variance estimates are mutually consistent. The C test is mentioned in many text books, but a dedicated article in Wikipedia was lacking. As I have published on a generalized version of the C test, I felt motivated to initiate a short article on the C test in Wikipedia. --Rtlam (talk) 20:56, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
