Coequalizer → Coequaliser – Since Equaliser (mathematics) uses the "-ise" spelling rather than "-ize", this article should probably also use that spelling per WP:CONSISTENCY. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 00:26, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:RETAIN this article started at this spelling in 2004, and we should not change dialects just because another related article uses different one. We don't do that in other cases. Indeed, doing so leads to move wars and flamewars when done on other articles -- 70.51.46.39 (talk) 04:30, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose I appreciate the desire for consistency, but WP:RETAIN is the relevant policy for American vs British spelling variants. Also, GScholar shows about 2,810 hits for "Coequalizer" and 465 hits for "Coequaliser", hence one could argue that "Coequalizer" is a bit more common. "Co-equalizer" and "Co-equaliser" are also used, but are more rare. --Mark viking (talk) 11:02, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. We have all-terrain tyre whilst we have tire, car colour popularity as well as color, etc. We don't use one English variant spelling across the board. Zarcadia (talk) 16:40, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
