Time to remove the fictional authors, and list only Don Bain

edit

See Joe Sharkey's Column, which makes it clear that the two flight attendants are complete fiction. The first paragraph of this article should be rewritten to reflect reality. --Randal L. Schwartz (talk) 01:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Modified copy to reflect fiction... Thanks for the confirmation! Mark Sublette (talk) 01:51, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Mark SubletteMark Sublette (talk) 01:51, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

To Tell the Truth episode

edit

I just watched a rerun of a To Tell the Truth episode from 1973-74 which had a former stewardess (which was the term used then) that said this book was written by a man -- that was an answer to a question that was posed to her (she happened to be the correct contestant -- i.e., not an imposter). Peggy Cass had given that answer as a reason for not voting for her - Cass said it was written by stewardesses. Host Gary Moore also thought it was written by stewardesses. After said contestant was revealed as the real person, she gave a strong rebuttal to the "stewardesses wrote it" story. So the authorship was known by some even then. It would be nice to get some info as to how the authorship question evolved over the years (it was obviously known -- by some at least - long before 2002, as the main article would lead you to believe). 2601:150:100:63A0:FDAE:9987:1039:F09A (talk) 01:40, 19 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
