Pronunciation
editI have no idea how "caa" and "cah" might be differently pronounced? Can somebody improve this with either IPA or just a better verbal description of the difference? I'm quite sure neither accent pronounces car with a literal "h" ending. — Hippietrail (talk) 04:28, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I lived in RI for 25 years, and they DO, literally, use an "h" ending. LaesaMajestas (talk) 20:52, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
How common?
editThe article currently states (unsourced): "One common, but unsubstantiated explanation is that the soda jerk or pharmacist kept the coffee syrup in one of the polished wooden cabinets behind the counter." I think it would be worth backing up this "common" explanation with some sources, or removing the "unsubstantiated explanation". - Checking the checkers (talk) 14:41, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
