This page should not have a taxobox
editI've removed a recently added taxobox: as a genus no longer supported, it should not have a box. Having a taxobox would mean that we are making a statement about the current classification and plan to keep it up-to-date. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 15:20, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
Confusion continues
editAs noted in the article, after being sunk into Plectranthus, Coleus has been resurrected. As of 28 July 2020, secondary sources like Plants of the World Online have not been fully updated (PoWO had mostly species with epithets beginning A–C, looking as if they had started on updating). I'm reluctant myself to initiate wholesale changes without an accessible secondary source. Peter coxhead (talk) 06:52, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Coleus plants
editI have grown from seed coleus plants all of which are fully grown however the leaves are all still.green. how long will it take for them to change colour 85.210.127.156 (talk) 17:50, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- When I've grown Coleus scutellarioides cultivars from commercial seed sources, the leaves have been coloured almost from the appearance of the true leaves. So are you sure you are growing coloured leaf cultivars of this species? I suspect not. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:10, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
