editFrom the article: "There was also some suggestion that it was the first to use the name 'Antarctica'." The term 'Antarctica' for a hypothesized South Polar continent goes back to the Ancient Greeks. It was also used on some maps of the sixteenth century for this same hypothesized South Polar continent. Maybe reword this to: "There was also some suggestion that it was the first to apply the name 'Antarctica' to the newly discovered continent."
