Remove mentioning of 2022 shooting
editIt seems that Wikipedia is doing away of mentioning shootings in the main article for the location. See Talk:Tops_Friendly_Markets#Buffalo_edit_war for details. Cwater1 (talk) 15:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Cwater1: I think you misunderstood the argument. The Tops Friendly Markets article is about a super market brand and not about a single store location. The argument was over including a shooting that was only tangentially related to the brand. In the case of the Columbiana Centre there has been a different decision to merge the Columbiana Centre shooting article into the main article about the mall. The content of each article is decided on a case by case basis and, as far as I am aware, Wikipedia has no hard and fast policy about mentioning shootings, or not, in the main article for a location, other than general ones like Undue weight, Verifiability and Notability. In this case, the shooting is notable in the context of the mall article, but not notable as a stand alone event. So, should be included in the mall article. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 11:06, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, plus the mall itself got sued for it. PARAKANYAA (talk) 15:52, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oh okay. I must have been confused then. All makes sense now. Cwater1 (talk) 20:42, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
