editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Combatants of the Iraq War. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20090205112051/http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=2610633&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312 to http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=2610633&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312

Merge
editList of armed groups in the Iraqi Civil War should be merged into this article because the Iraqi Civil War is part of the Iraq War. Charles Essie (talk) 22:56, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. I don't support the idea that this is still the same conflict. Of course, the Iraqi Civil War is completely a result of the Iraq War, but it's still another conflict with other factions. Furthermore, there is also an own page for the Iraqi Civil War, which shouldn't exist after this logic, too. The other reason, why I'm against the merge is, that the Combatants of the Iraq War is a very messed-up place, especially the section Post-Invasion. With adding the content of the Iraqi Civil War, it only would become additionally complicated.--Ermanarich (talk) 14:20, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
- Acording to this discussion they are two parts of the same ongoing war. Charles Essie (talk) 15:31, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right. But still, both parts of it remain clearly divided and so should it be - in my opinion - with the articles about the armed groups, since Kurdish and Shiite forces turned to be the official ones while Sunnis are mostly IS or other rebel groups. It's more clearly arranged then. But it would be good to link in both articles a link to the respectively other.--Ermanarich (talk) 16:56, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Sounds sensible. Both articles need a lot of work though. They're both incomplete and out of date. Charles Essie (talk) 21:32, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- That's true. I'm working at least on the civil war article to make it better. The problem there is, that the situation of the Sunni insurgents beyond IS is completely chaotic and difficult and there aren't many informations about them, as well as their numbers. And the different PMF-militias are mostly designated simply as "PMF" in the news.--Ermanarich (talk) 13:57, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
