Population

edit

Anyone got a good figure for the population? To quote the Save Combs School website: "They're still getting the petition numbers wrong. There were 2141 signatures - that's about three times the population of our small village of Combs" implying a population of around 700.

Also interesting to note that DCC use Wikipedia as a source of facts about the county they govern ( See[1])WhaleyTim (talk) 17:38, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Phones"?

edit

Quote: "There are some local residents who prefer the older pronunciation of Combs to rhyme with "phones"." Wouldn't 'loams' or 'domes' make more sense? Not a local so decided not to be bold... Dave.Dunford (talk) 16:36, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
