Merge proposal
editMerge Department of Information and Communications Technology (Philippines) to Commission on Information and Communications Technology (Philippines) since CICT and DICT have similar functions. The editor may have noticed that the article about CICT exists. SkyHigher (talk) 03:46, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Leaning towards Oppose. IMO, those are two different agencies created by two separate legislations. Would be better to just link the predecessor to the new department as the main article under its history section.--RioHondo (talk) 03:52, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. Better to link the CICT article as a preceding agency to preserve its history rather than cluttering the new article's page. Xeltran (talk) 07:22, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Support. A unified article can be edited to sound more consistent and fluid, so that cluttering can be avoided. We cannot deny that the CICT was established solely with the purpose of being the precursor or "egg" for a DICT, that has now since hatched. RepublicaNegrense (talk) 12:03, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. Commission of Information and Communication Technology seems to be unrelated with DICT.--TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 18:29, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
