Addition re: Dodd-Frank definition changes

edit

Recently, this article has been updated with a new draft that I wrote and proposed at WikiProject Finance and WikiProject Cooperation, where editors carried out a thorough review. During the review, John M Baker suggested making an addition to the article to note that the definition of CTA had changed under the Dodd-Frank amendments to the Commodity Exchange Act in 2010. To follow up on this, I have prepared the wording below to be added to the end of the History section:

In July 2010, the definition of commodity trading advisor under the Commodity Exchange Act was expanded by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to include "persons who provide advice on swap transactions". Prior to this, swaps were not included in the CTA definition.[1][2]

If anyone is watching this page, I invite you to review the above and add to the article if it seems neutral and supported by the sources. The only other post on this page is from 2006, leading me to suspect it is not being watched, so I have also left a request at WikiProject Cooperation's Paid Editor Help page.
