Copyright problem
editThis article has been revised as part of the large-scale clean-up project of a massive copyright infringement on Wikipedia. Earlier text must not be restored, unless it can be verified to be free of infringement. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions must be deleted. Contributors may use sources as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously.
For more information on this situation, which involved a single contributor liberally copying material from print and internet sources into several thousand articles, please see the two administrators' noticeboard discussions of the matter, here and here, as well as the the cleanup task force subpage. Hello
editHi folks, I have a couple plans to make this page a bit better. I wanted to organize the information already provided in the article into a "Physical Characteristics" section and a "Behavior" section, with subsections for mating behaviors and weapon use. I also wanted to add information about their predators and possibly their taxonomy. MaddisonLessard (talk) 12:59, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Geographic range and male's finding
editThere's a strange difference between these two informations: is this species common in australian water? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.25.31.64 (talk) 09:43, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- Recently, also a female blanket octopus was seen in Australian waters, see [1]. However, it is quite likely that the Australian blanket octopuses belong to the species Tremoctopus gracilis instead of Tremoctopus violaceus, see [2]. --130.180.18.14 (talk) 10:19, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
