Party Name Similarity

edit

Is this the same organization as the one described in Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) (USA)? They sound very similar: American, "Marxist-Leninist", and Maoist, but the dates don't quite match. --Saforrest (talk) 03:20, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The founding dates for the two distinct organizations fail to match by 12 years; 1965 for the Communist Party USA (Marxist-Leninist) founded as a splinter from the CPUSA [Communist Party USA]and 1977 for the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) [or CPML] founded through the October League. The "Communist Party USA (Marxist-Leninist)" did not last long enough to overlap in time with the "Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist)". Neither "USA" or "(USA)" were part of the name of the "Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist)". Differences between the two go far beyond the founding dates. I really don’t see the justification for removing mention of her article. The name of the party is right there in the title! It’s about laski in his capacity as leader of the cpusa(ml). A significant piece of the party’s history, almost the only thing that makes them notable actually. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laski22 (talkcontribs) 03:02, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
