The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus that this party is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist), and that that title should instead redirect to Communist Party of Nepal (disambiguation) as incomplete disambiguation. Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) (1991–2005) → Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) – WP:MISPLACED. Should be uncontroversial but given the complete mess that Communist Party of Nepal (disambiguation) is I figured an RM was better than doing it myself. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:06, 7 September 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 00:48, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- Workers of the world, unite! Oppose for now, as it's not obvious that this particular party, rather than the (1986-1991) or (2006) parties, is the primary meaning of the name, so retaining the disambiguator makes sense. Tevildo (talk) 07:21, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment Unless I'm missing something (quite possible), there are 3 entries with the base of Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) at the dab page, all with low page views (this one actually has the fewest of the 3 in the last 30 days). So we seem far from a case of WP:PDAB here. The MISPLACED redirect should be retargeted to the dab as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. Not sure I feel about the double disambiguators, but they do seem in common use, and that's for another day. Mdewman6 (talk) 16:30, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- The "Marxist" isn't a disambiguator, it's part of the organization's name (including the parentheses). Tevildo (talk) 16:53, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hmmmm, interesting. Well, regardless, there does not seem to be a primary topic here, so retargeting to the dab still seems to be the way to handle the misplaced redirect. 18:05, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Instead retarget Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) to Communist Party of Nepal (disambiguation) which is what should have been when it was dab'd in 2007. I'm not seeing why this iteration would be a primary topic over the two other "Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist)" articles we have. Jenks24 (talk) 13:30, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
