Why did this party join the right-wingers in opposing the Sandinistas? The Sandinistas were on the left. --Oddeivind (talk) 10:58, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

It's not an entirely easy question to answer, but probably has to do with the conduct of FSLN in gov't during 1980s. The UNO opposition campaign profiled itself not as a right-wing campaign but as a broad democratic campaign, and promised (with success) to end the civil war. --Soman (talk) 15:37, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
