maprequest?
editUser:Zigzig20s, you put a "request map" tag here. What are you looking for? If you just want the NRHP infobox to show a state map, change "| locmapin =" to "| locmapin =Tennessee" or to "| locmapin = Tennessee#USA". By the way, i asked the NRHP infobox generator's creator to put that into all new infoboxes created, but they have not happened to pick up on that. YMMV.
Otherwise, please clarify! :) --Doncram (talk) 19:56, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Also, about coordinates, your new article used the NRIS2013a coordinates (i.e. the ones given currently by the NRHP infobox generator), and I would mark those with "source:NRIS2013a" to indicate that. However I personally would choose to include the somewhat different coordinates, 35°55′30″N 85°27′53″W / 35.92500°N 85.46472°W, which are included in National Register of Historic Places listings in White County, Tennessee, and I would tag those with "source:NOTNRIS2013a" to indicate they're different. Someone went thru the trouble to change them in the list-article, and I would trust that without checking further. Of course you or I could also also check the coordinates using Google satellite view. --Doncram (talk) 19:56, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- We need a map of Tennessee with a dot for where this building is located. Maps sometimes come automatically with the Elkman tool, sometimes not.Zigzig20s (talk) 20:00, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- That would be provided by "|locmapin =Tennessee". That's one of routine changes I make to the generated infobox. Just add the word "Tennessee" to the infobox, or "Tennessee#USA" for it to offer a U.S. map view. --Doncram (talk) 20:09, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- I removed the map requested template since the article now includes a map.Transpoman (talk) 17:01, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

about coordinates
edit[ec] Again I would routinely choose to include the somewhat different coordinates, which are included in National Register of Historic Places listings in White County, Tennessee. And actually, User:Zigzig20s, it happens that the NRIS2013a coordinates are horribly wrong in this case, pointing to 35°55′34″N 88°27′28″W / 35.92611°N 88.45778°W. And the list-article's coordinates do point exactly to the building, though not the center of the building, to quibble. :) Compare in "Map all coordinates using", selecting Google maps then changing over to satellite view. Can I leave it to you to correct in the article? --Doncram (talk) 20:09, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, the coordinates came with the Elkman tool. Please fix them if you can. Thanks!Zigzig20s (talk) 20:16, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Right, you put in coordinates from the Elkman tool, in good faith that they would probably be correct. But they're not. They're off by 3 degrees of longitude, which is across the state! What's needed is to change the coordinates= field to hold {{coord|35|55|30|N|85|27|53|W|source:NOTNRIS2013a|display=inline,title}} instead of what is there now. Is copy-pasting that too hard to do? You have to get started with this kind of stuff sometime. :) --Doncram (talk) 20:21, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- FYI, I have removed the coordinates entered automatically by the Elkman tool. Have a nice day!Zigzig20s (talk) 16:22, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
