Public Sector Equality Duty
editIt seems remiss to me to reflect on the Conceptual and Practical development of community cohesion without at least a passing reference to the public sector equality duty (s.149 Equality Act 2010): in exercising their functions all public authorities must give due regard to the need to ... "(c) foster good relations between persons who share a relevant protected characteristic and persons who do not share it.
Clearly this did not happen in isolation and I suspect that many of the sources you cite may have influenced the thinking of Parliament at the time. This may or may not be reflected in its deliberations in committee and in both Houses. Rebecca Shaw 12:22, 18 May 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Essexgirlbecky (talk • contribs)
