The lead for this article focuses too quickly and too exclusively on South Africa--after the phrase "such as that" we go directly to the SA mines, and I do not believe that compounds for migrant workers existed only in SA. I know for a fact, for instance, that such compounds were common all over Western Europe in the 60s and 70s for migrant workers from Turkey and Northern Africa. Rewrite the lead and expand the article and you have a good topic, I think. Drmies (talk) 16:14, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
