availability in Linux

edit

According to: http://netlab.caltech.edu/lachlan/ctcp/

it is not available in Linux anymore. Cite: "At one time, it was available in Linux, but has been discontinued since 2.6.17. Because of changes internal to Linux, the old module will not work with new kernels, even if it is manually copied into the source tree."

Windows 7 defaults

edit
TCP Global Parameters
----------------------------------------------
Receive-Side Scaling State          : enabled
Chimney Offload State               : recommended
Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level    : normal
Add-On Congestion Control Provider  : none
ECN Capability                      : disabled
RFC 1323 Timestamps                 : disabled

Someone needs to double-check the defaults for 2008; looks like its off by default in 7.

Datacenter CTCP

edit

A discussion of DCTCP is probably warranted given Windows Server 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Njrandomvariable (talkcontribs) 15:02, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
