With the first title removed, then the table of content doesn't show the main part of the article, but directly point to secondary elements.. Is this the standard for Wikipedia ? I find it very strange.EMLM 13:24, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the part above the table of contents is called a lead section and should be a overview of the topic and a summary of the rest of the article. Think of it like a paragraph or so that could stand as it's own as a shorter encyclopedia article, but then the rest of the article provides further details. So you may wish to move everything down below the table of contents and write an additional paragraph to serve as a proper lead. - Taxman ^Talk 16:33, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
