Talk:Comrade General
Redirecting to "Red Alert 2"
editThis article has little value; as far as I can tell, Romanov refers to the "player" character as Comrade General simply because the player is a General and adding Comrade to the beginning makes the title seem stereotypically and humorously Russian. Perhaps the creation of a Player (Command & Conquer) article is in order (in order to encompass data about the player's resistance to mind control). Much of the back-story given here has no basis - the lone external link on the page has nothing to do with this article.
Thus I am redirecting from here to Red Alert 2, although I do not believe this will have a large impact as the (mis)information herein is not often sought. Should need for it arise, I reiterate: create a Player (Command & Conquer) article. Thanks, The Fish 18:29, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Player (Command & Conquer) article
editI've created a prototype here if it's needed. Thanks, The Fish 18:52, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Reply (this is not a rant, even if it looks like one)
editI thought the Comrade General page was redirected because the information in the page wasn't explicitly displayed in the games (Red Alert 2 +/ Yuri's Revenge). But, much of the information in the article on Romanov is just as made-up. I thought, since I removed all invented information about Comrade General in the last edition of the article, thus making it more factual than the Romanov article, that it would thereby become less likely to be deleted. But, I assume you just thought it was the same old article that was first put up.
But it wasn't a nonsensical article and it didn't contain anything unworthy for Wikipedia at the time of its final deletion.
The two possible reasons for deleting it are therefore either "you didn't look at the updated version" or "you were looking for a not-so-extremely-important article to be deleted because Wikipedia has such a limited capacity for articles that it will suffer from lack of band width or something unless many articles are deleted". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ziqidel (talk • contribs)
