Ambiguity

edit

Apparently actually for flute, strings, harp and percussion- which is the title of a concerto by Virgil Thomson. There are also works titled "concerto for flute, strings and percussion" so-named by Krzysztof Meyer, another (concertino, 1945) by Peter Mennin (a better-known composer than Ms. Wagner, leading one to think that this page should perhaps be moved to Concerto for Flute, Strings and Percussion (Melinda Wagner)... ), one by Robert Dick, and some others. Arthur Polson adds timpani to his list in addition to the more general percussion. One notes also a 1954 "Concerto for flute, string orchestra, piano, harp and percussion" by Jindřich Feld and a 2008 concerto for this instrumentation by Shcherbakov. This just from Worldcat, leave alone other sources... Schissel | Sound the Note! 05:11, 15 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
