images added to explain algorithmic process. The non human data stems from artificial material an so can be published without affecting a patient's privacy.

More explanation on the processing and functionality of the CBCT should be added by native speakers of the english language 87.167.108.76 (talk) 01:32, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article doesn't list Elekta from Sweden. I'm working on an upgrade to Gamma Knife equipment at a hospital in CA, and they're adding a motorized, articulating CBCT gantry arm which rotates around the patient's head. Might be the first OSHPD 1 installation in CA... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.65.188.130 (talk) 16:07, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Removed audiology sentence

edit

I have removed this text: "Recently CBCT scanners were in discussing in the field of audiology in Canada scanning the auditory ear canal to produce ear mold prosthesis (hearing aids)currently under U.S and patent trademark provision filed by Norton Rose law firm in Canada." from the introduction. It does not belong in the introduction, the grammar is very bad, and possibly was added by people involved in this matter & isn't really notable. —DIV (137.111.13.36 (talk) 06:10, 3 January 2014 (UTC))Reply

MDCT

edit

MDCT links to modified discrete cosine transform, and I can't see why a transform. rather than a tomographic imaging method would be a competitor? I am really not sure what the author meant here. The references are to C-arm systems. Should we maybe delete this section unless anyone can work out what it is meant to mean and fix it? Maybe they meant multi detector rows - but that is cone beam CT.Billlion (talk) 11:11, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I've piped it to Multi-detector CT, which redirects to CT (which doesn't seems to explain multi-detector very well). - Rod57 (talk) 22:28, 27 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Seems biased - lots of unbalanced criticism
