Talk:Congenital heart disease

Latest comment: 14 years ago by TyrS in topic disease vs defect in articles

Considering that the article currently deals exclusively with congenital heart defects, I am creating a subpage. Ataru 03:08, 7 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Um, right, edits plus beer are bad. What I am actually doing is merging the material on heart defects (that is to say, pretty much the entire article), to the congenital heart defect article. Some enterprising soul can feel free to add some appropriate text that deals with CHD in general rather than specifically with defects, which already have their own article. You mean to say you are merging Congenital heart disease into Congenital heart defect? Dlodge 02:15, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

needs "treatment" section

edit

I don't have the time or the know-how to do it, but it would be nice to see a section on a general overview of the various treatment options (with links to more specific subpages for procedures, etc. perhaps).  :-) 204.57.115.38 20:12, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

minor edit

edit

Found 'I love leanne' added to the bottom of the page. I am quite sure that means nothing to the article, so I deleted it. If for some insane reason, this is a mistake, pls undo it. ~edit~ Actually, I just found that some guy from IP 64.75.71.1 (which seems to be a general public account) did it. That account in on many warnings for spam already...

disease vs defect in articles

edit

Does this mean that it would be a good idea to alter "congenital heart disease" when it occurs in articles to "congenital heart defect"? To clarify it for the lay-person (like myself), do physicians, as a rule, always call an acquired heart condition a "disease" and a congenital one a "defect"?
