I've added an image that looked more informative to me. Correct if I'm wrong. Best regards, --CopperKettle 07:16, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

It was to my understanding that conjunctiva epithelium is stratified columnar. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://education.vetmed.vt.edu/curriculum/vm8054/labs/Lab11/Eye/Images/EYEL13.JPG&imgrefurl=http://education.vetmed.vt.edu/curriculum/vm8054/labs/Lab11/Eye/EXAMPLES/EXCNJNCT.HTM&usg=__oCRY1cvADHlC8OBPqoez_55I41k=&h=323&w=500&sz=32&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=HUlEENkUXXHcPM:&tbnh=84&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dconjunctival%2Bepithelium%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DAzp%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.79.243.233 (talk) 01:30, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Trying to clean up the article a bit. Would be happy to discuss any of the changes made. ---Lindendoss —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lindendoss (talkcontribs) 15:00, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Does conjunctiva cover posterior sclera?

edit

I suspect it does NOT, because the bulbar conjunctiva REFLECTS onto the inner surface of the eyelids at the fornices, which leads me to think that it then does not continue onto the posterior sclera. But many places say that it 'covers the sclera', and while I can find places which say that the BULBAR conjunctiva covers the ANTERIOR sclera, I can't find anywhere that says whether the conjunctiva covers the WHOLE sclera.
