Place of birth

The page was edited a few days ago to change the birthplace from Colorado to Odessa, TX. The Marie Claire article mentions he grew up in Odessa, West Texas, but I don't think it qualifies as a source for the birthplace. I have reason to believe that Colorado is the correct location but will keep looking for an appropriate reference link. ~2025-39931-74 (talk) 20:39, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

He mentions this ("I was born in Colorado") during his episode on the Shut Up Evan Podcast (can't link here but it's up on YouTube, time 2:28). Could someone please edit this? For now, there is no appropriate reference link that mentions he was born in Colorado other than a primary source (in this case, the Shut Up Evan Podcast). I suggest we wait for further news articles/reports/blogs to mention his place of birth as he has been having a plenty of publications and interviews made about him. Shut Up Evan is not a primary source. Storrie does not have editorial control over it, unlike a press release or IG post, which would be primary sources. I don't think the Shut Up Evan interview should be treated any differently from the GQ or VF articles that are already cited. Minorstab (talk) 20:33, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

The birthplace has been fixed and reverted a few times now. Unfortunately there are sources that state Odessa is the birthplace, so it may be difficult to get Colorado to stick. Lizzie Nonesuch (talk) 18:01, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Should we remove the place of birth for now? Connor's mother and grandmother confirmed that he was born in Aurora, Colorado, but the interview with them is from a Daily Mail article, which is banned as a reliable source in Wikipedia. Thisisherstory (talk) 14:23, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

Request: Semi-protection instead of pending changes

Reversion and over-zealous deletion

@IvyBluu and @Zarakwln

I made a comment on Zarakwln's talk page yesterday, but I see it was deleted along with other users' talk page posts expressing similar concerns from @Orangesclub and @Justthefacts. I'm not trying to go ten rounds with anybody, but there are elements I added (that Storrie has talked about repeatedly in interviews and that were properly sourced) that would clearly have a place in the article. The version I made definitely wasn't at a perfect place—the Heated Rivalry section could do with some constructive additions and a some of the wording is more promotional than encyclopedic—but it adds more context for readers trying to figure out the subject. If you think the wording is an issue or any individual nugget is iffy, that's one thing, but there's been no judgment evident in the deletions.

I also don't want to accuse anybody of anything, but looking at the respective contribution history, there's a lot of parallel editing behavior, which seems to focus on defending this and a couple other pages from good-faith editing. Whatever the reason for your parallel behavior, I would caution either of you from being over-protective of this or any page. Even if it's well-intentioned, it prevents this article from becoming better with other people's contributions. Dizzycheekchewer (talk) 16:24, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

I've had the same experience.

I think Storrie's work in Modern clowning should be included since it's an important part of his professional development, particularly in light of his hosting SNL. It is discussed in numerous sources, including the Cultured article by Rob Franklin (currently ref #5, though the content was deleted). Lizzie Nonesuch (talk) 19:16, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

I added the information back in as well as the Personal life section. There is extensive coverage and discussion of his personal life, which should be represented in the (minor) way it currently is.

Aside from the disruptive editing I noted above, there is, I think, a lot of room for building and improving this article. He is clearly a rising star who has received major coverage in multiple reputable news sources. I see from the page history that there have been attempts to build out the profile, deleted by either the users noted above or by IP-address users, but I wanted to reiterate the idea here. Re-add Emmy nominated in bio

His Emmy nomination was excluded from his bio from “Emmy nominated actor” to just American actor. Since he has received hate online I believe this was done with malicious intent and should be fixed ~2026-39256-58 (talk) 13:05, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

Storrie is reliably sourced to be in this film as per People Magazine. "Other images capture Eilish walking down the street alongside women dressed in colorful vintage outfits, helping recreate the bustling atmosphere of the 1950s New York City setting depicted in Plath’s novel. The film will also feature two-time Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan as Mrs. Greenwood, Esther’s mother, and Heated Rivalry‘s Connor Storrie in an undisclosed role.".
