When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). I was wondering if anyone could make a section of this article devoted to the poisonous effects of these toxins, in something more understandable than med school language. I was trying to figure out why these substances were dangerous enough to make this (http://www.cdc.gov/od/sap/docs/salist.pdf) list, but after reading the article I just drew a blank. Disulphide bonds in header

Sulphur bonds in polypeptides or proteins are not unusual, I think, and from the body of the article the unusualness of them is the knot. I suggest changing the header to reflect this. Midgley (talk) 03:43, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
