Timeline & possible merge
editCan this article be construed by the fact that this is the Montreal campaign of 1760 or is it the Conquest which begins in 1759? Reason Im asking is that Im constructing an article on the Montreal campaign itself and thinking that I might as well merge it with this one. Eastfarthingan (talk) 16:32, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Change title?
editCan we change the title to Conquest of New France? The article is misleading in many ways especially when it states the campaign starts in 1758.Eastfarthingan (talk) 14:34, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
Local description changed
editI have changed the previous local description which read: "Military campaign resulting in cession of New France to Britain" to "Military campaign resulting in the acquisition of Canada by Great Britain in the Seven Years' War" because the previous one was incorrect. New France was large and composed of multiple regions, some of which by 1760 the British had already conquered (ex. Acadia) or had yet to conquer or buy (ex. Plaisance, Domaine du Roy, etc.). There are even parts of New France, such as Saint Pierre and Miquelon or Louisiana, that were never taken by the British. The only part of New France that was conquered here between 1758 and 1760 was Canada, New France's financial, administrative and population centre. Safyrr 18:26, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
