As far as I can tell, 'Universal Geography, Or, a Description of All the Parts of the World, on a New Plan', volume 1, was first published in English in 1822 by A. Black. See here: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=uEkNAQAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=universal+geography+conrad+1822+volume+1&hl=en&sa=X&ei=Ke7lUrDBDYOV7AbWm4Aw&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false

You have it in the article as being 1827 (A. Findley) in the links directing to different volumes.

1822 is the first edition I can find, in English. Can anyone find an earlier version? Also, when was the first French edition published? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.188.112.2 (talk) 05:33, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
