Probably referring to the fact that he was endorsed by the Liberal party (when you are on more than one ballot line, that's referred to as "fusion").--Inonit 14:19, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

Disambiguated American Conservative Party from CPNYS

Owing to the current events in the 23rd district of New York, many reporters in the media are referring to the CPNYS simply as "the Conservative Party." This is quite understandable, but the American Conservative Party has seen a recent influx of members who are confusing it with the CPNYS. Since the ACP has no article here (yet, but I think this may establish the need for one), I have edited a few instances of "Conservative Party" to the full name, added the abbreviation CPNYS, and added a sentence to state that the two organizations are separate and not affiliated. Full disclosure: I am the Secretary of the American Conservative Party. We are not seeking to directly profit from the media and public confusion. in this matter. Party Registration Citation

The article stating that the Conservative Party has the 4th total, does not include Libertarians in its comparission. Looking to verify where they fit in the mix I see the ciation like has absoluletly nothing to do with what it is supposed to be citing. Local Assembly and Senate Election Results Need "New York Red Book" Access

Long story short, the figures present on Our Campaigns are simply not up to snuff when it comes to properly breaking down the vote by Party; there are far too many cases where only the candidate figures are provided, and that in turn significantly distorts the final totals when it comes to how many votes the Party received in a race or even just whether a candidate was endorsed. Unfortunately the New York Elections Board only provides figures from 1998 onwards, meaning that the whole period from 1962 to 1996 is left literally on the books, in this case the New York Red Books. As a resident of Massachusetts I don't have ready access to these books, and it doesn't seem as if many of them have made it online unlike the Wisconsin Blue Books. To complete that section we are going to need a New York City native who is willing to track them down locally, scan the relevant pages from each volume; I personally can take care of the long-form math. --Ariostos (talk) 03:16, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
