Arian?

edit

The History of Christianity designates Constantius as an Arian but I see no explicit discussion of that here, only that he was labeled a "heretic". I believe that "Arian" was a correct characterization of his faith and, given the importance of the struggle between Arianism and Trinitarianism in the Empire this detail seems important.

Is there a specific reason it was omitted?

by 3) Faustina Constantia, who later married Gratian

Where is this evidence to support the marriage of the daughter of Constantius II to Gratain, the emperor of the Western Roman Empire? I went to Gratian's wikibio and there is nothing that mentioned any marriage to Faustina Constantia or have children at all. Please source any information out there to support this marriage. 02:57, 15 June 2007 Sundehul.

Sundehul, internet or a wikibio is not a source. If you want to check on primary sources I generally advise PLRE (that is: Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire, in this case book I. Here you can see that Gratian was indeed married to Constantia (2), posthumous daughter of Constantius II and Faustina. The sources for this information are (off course) Ammianus Marcellinus and also Iohannes Chrysostom. BTW, did you know that if you type 4 ~ wikipedia automaticly does: johanthon 10:48, 15 June 2007 (UTC)?Reply
