There is only one city in Kuwait.

city in Kuwait, and that is Kuwait City. The list here are only districts and areas of Kuwait City. Furthermore, there are already pages on the governorates of Kuwait, of which these disctrics are listed in. Zer0fighta 06:26, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

Wording

I think the word "District" is little more appropriate and more specific than "Area". District has the following definition: “A region marked off for administrative (or other) porposes.” I'm going to change the wording. --Ahmed 12:40, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

districts vs cities

I don't know why this article has so much interwiki links. Only Italian ja Polish have the district article, all other wikis have "List of cities", which this wiki seems to miss totally. 82.141.95.243 (talk) 18:06, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

again with the wordin

This article has 'area' naming until it was changed without discussion. Area is the most well know name for them, it's the only name I heard since I was born. I found 3 official sites that use the name of 'area': Kuwait National News Agency, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Electricity and Water. Also, some websites like Talabat (ranked 9130 on alexa) use 'area'. also, I'll take some definitions from Oxford dictionary:

• Area: "A region or part of a town, a country, or the world"
• District: "An area of a country or city, especially one characterized by a particular feature or activity"
• Region (Used by [paci.gov.kw PACI]: "An area, especially part of a country or the world having definable characteristics but not always fixed boundaries"

Also: I'm moving this article to 'List of Electoral Districts of Kuwait since it's talking about the electoral districts, not the residential areas. --Kuwaity26 (talk) 01:56, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
