Peer Review
editI am not versed in Canadian law but I can give some pointers as this article is on the WikiProject:Law page.
- The article has no head. The overview pahaps could be moved to the head?
- More links would be nice. More Blue! There are none, could be well over 100. Consumer, Bankrupcy (general), federal and provincial in the first line all have articles on wikipedia.
- (Unless this is different in Canada) Use legal citation. referencing using [1]
Overall the article is great. This criticism is intended to be helpful :-) Bamkin 15:24, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Chapter References in Parentheses
editI find a good deal of this article to be unclear. In the first place I do not know what the chapter references listed after many bulleted points are referring to. There are several instances of either missing words or misplaced commas. As well, the language used is not altogether approachable to someone not well versed in Canadian law. The quality ratings above are pretty accurate; a good start, but needs some work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.1.143.100 (talk) 12:09, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Article title
editIs there any reason not to rename this to Consumer bankruptcy in Canada? --Chealer (talk) 21:40, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Not sure what the emphasis would accomplish - bankruptcy is about insolvency, whether or not consumption-based. Peter Grey (talk) 19:26, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but the article doesn't discuss anything other than consumer bankruptcy, right? The precision would clarify that the article doesn't provide information about corporate bankruptcies. --Chealer (talk) 18:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps Individual bankruptcy in Canada. (It doesn't exclude, for example, investors.) Peter Grey (talk) 23:13, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was move per request.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 08:56, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Bankruptcy in Canada → Consumer bankruptcy in Canada – As noted above, article focuses exclusively on the rules of consumer bankruptcy in Canada, without any discussion of the equally complex area of commercial bankruptcy. The subject would be better handled through separate articles. Raellerby (talk) 15:18, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
