Episode titles

edit

Much like Orphan Black's new season, every episode title is a phrase from a longer quote from some kind of author, it's explanation is given at the start of each episode with the full quote shown and the excerpt from it used for the title shown in red.

I think it would be useful to include a note about this next to every title. I didn't bother to write them down so I'd have to rewatch the start of each to find this out. Basically a note saying who originally spoke the words, perhaps the full quote displayed, and if we can locate it, where the quote was from. 64.231.169.3 (talk) 02:15, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think it was also be extremely useful if each episode description included the "Day x" included in each episode's intro. I would have done that myself, but I didn't keep track of the "day" in the early episodes, so I don't have that info handy... --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:56, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
That's a good idea too. Would also be useful for Between (TV series) which I believe also includes that (along with how many survivors in the town) at the start of each episode. Ranze (talk) 16:24, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Green v Greene

edit

I watch with closed captioned and noticed that Leo's surname is spelled "Greene" when they mention his website near the end of the final episode. Do we have a source for the "Green" spelling listed? Ranze (talk) 16:24, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Teresa v Theresa

edit

I see it spelled both ways here. Anyone able to verify which is right? Also anyone recall name mention of her mom, gramma, or gramma's husband? I just deleted last ep off PVR, regret not checking for end creds in case it was used. Ranze (talk) 16:37, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Split

edit

Is 13 enough episodes to split? This could wait until we detail the last 8 episodes which lack summaries but could also be done earlier. Ranze (talk) 16:40, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Typically shows with only one season do not split. There could be exceptions, but based on what is shown in the article currently, I do not see any reason to create another article. Mjs32193 (talk) 03:56, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Oppose Per Mjs32193, no split. Keri (talk) 08:53, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Etymology removals

edit

@LakeBug: could you please provide explanations for your removal of the background information of the episode titles beginning with special:diff/728679011 ? That information should be retained somewhere on the article even if you wish them exported from the episode summary, such as 'background' or something. Ranze (talk) 16:42, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced speculation, potentially original research, is a good starting point for those explanations. Keri (talk) 08:56, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Miniseries or just series

edit

I think we should move this to "Containment (TV series)". A miniseries is usually 2-3 episodes, e.g. A Woman of Substance (miniseries), while this series had 13. Debresser (talk) 21:11, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

A close fit may be found at Wikipedia Mid-season eplacement: "An older and related concept is the summer replacement, which debuts between May and August, when a network's fall schedule is on hiatus. Summer replacements tend to be lower-profile shows with either low budgets or minimal prospects for renewal." For some reason, current events made me remember Containment. -- Naaman Brown (talk) 16:43, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
